Caladenia doutchiae, roei and hybrids
The Crested Spider Orchid group

Back to Caladenia

There are about six similar orchids in this group. The flower stem is up to 30cm tall with relatively small flowers about 3-4cm long. These orchids frequently hybridise with members of the C. filamentosa group such as C. vulgata where the two are growing together. C. roei (Ant Orchid) and C. doutchiae (Purple-veined Spider Orchid) are the most common of the group, the other species have a much smaller distribution and are not common.
